About
Jennifer was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received a BA in Native American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and recently received a Master in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. In addition to reading children's novels and comic books during her free time, she enjoys also baking, tabletop gaming, and crafting.
Jennifer was employed at the Berkeley Public Library for over eight and a half years. This position was meaningful to her because it was the same library system she visited as a child, and where she received her first library card. Her experiences as a BPL employee are ultimately what influenced her decision to pursue professional librarianship.
She left her position when she relocated to Northern Virgnia in the spring of 2015. Jennifer is currently a Youth Services Librarian in Northern Virginia. Jennifer resides in Fairfax, VA with her husband and their cairn terrier, Cody.
